Reduce Risk Of Colorectal Cancer By Eating Fiber 3X A Day


Eating whole grain bread or whole grain cereal maybe three times a day was able to reduce the risk of bowel cancer by 20 percent.

The researchers, including experts from Imperial College London and University of Leeds, examined the results of previous studies involving at least two million people.

From that research, they found an association between consumption of whole grain cereal with protection against colon cancer.

From each of the consumption of 10 grams per day, there is reduced risk of cancer unsus up to 10 percent. Since the 1960s, fiber and bowel function are known to help protect people from colon cancer, as quoted from medicmagic.

The results of the latest findings, published role in the British Medical Journal are based on analysis of 25 studies. The results showed that the addition of three wheat meal every day will reduce the risk of colon cancer by 20 percent.

Professor Anne Tjonneland of Danish cancer society said the results of this analysis adds to the evidence regarding the positive impact of wheat on health.

The researchers say there is a reasonable explanation of the benefits of this fiber foods, including high content of folate and mangnesium. The content of both are associated with reduced risk of colon cancer. In the UK, 38,500 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year which caused the death of more than 16 thousand people per year.

Surprisingly, the researchers also found that eating nuts, such as peas, beans, and peanuts and eat lots of fruits and vegetables, it does not prevent us from the risk of colon cancer.

ABOUT CANCER

Until now, we could not be ascertained what the actual cause of colon cancer increases. colon cancer is more common in people aged over 50 years, but nowadays it can also occur at a younger age.

Race and ethnicity. Race African Americans are more at risk of developing colon cancer than other races, although not obtained a clear answer why this happened.
